Coach Chris’ Journey began back in the summer of 2008 at the Jersey Shore. After trying (and failing) to run a single city block, he decided to take a real crack at running.

• A year later, he registered for and ran his first 5K.
• In spring 2010, he ran his first marathon, the Yuengling Shamrock Marathon in 4:15.
• In the fall of 2010, he became the first member of his family to compete in the NCAA when he walked onto his Division II cross country and track team.
• In 2016, Chris ran his third marathon and finally qualified for the Boston marathon, running a 2:56.
• In 2018, he ran the Boston Marathon in downpour conditions.
• In 2020, he broke 16-minutes in the 5K, won the Bucks County Marathon, and ran his first 100-mile week.

Coach Chris knows what it’s like to be a first-time runner as well as a competitive runner going for the podium, because he’s been there.

Your running journey is likely the same. Very few runners are lucky enough to possess raw natural talent. Progress can take time. It can be uneven. But eventually, you will get there.
